Hi humans, demons, readers, all. You may not remember me, but I used to blog about queer books and queer ships on a weekly basis. My last post aired when the infamous Destiel episode Despair aired in November of 2020. We were so innocent.
I left mainly because of my hatred of the block editor, and stayed left as I got involved in my school’s weekly paper. It was… ehhh. I love writing, but there’s a lot of human interaction and zooms involved. I am leaving the paper for the school magazine, which only comes out once a semester. While there will be meetings twice a week, and I can’t say for sure, but I believe it’s less time consuming. (Please don’t let me regret saying that.)
But I have gotten used to writing an article or column a week. And I’ve been blogging since high school, so I’m used to writing weekly pieces for public consumption.
But there’s also the books and media. When will I have time to read or watch TV while being a junior at uni?
Well, in practice, it’s less that I don’t have time and more that I don’t have a lot of access to books, and limited funds to pay for streaming services. I rotate between Hulu, Netflix, Disney+ and whatever else every month. The local library is currently restricted to the able-bodied and uni libraries don’t have a lot in terms of fiction. My nonfic reading has grown, but I tend to read those at a much slower pace.
So what am I going to blog about? While I have a limited quantity of things to review, I can expand the scope and use a variety rather than a strict focus. My ideas:
- Book lists- including but not limited to: Recent Reads, Similar Themes, F/F Fridays, Book Club Picks
- Uni Updates- Classes As Books, Books You Can Find At Uni, Uni Tips For The Struggling Student, Why I Chose My Major/ Minors
- TV Reactions- Love, Victor, Supernatural Could’ves, and other Queer/fun shows
- Book Tags!- Playlist, seasonal tags, Netflix Book Tag & more!
I hope you’ll join me in fanqueering!
welcome back! i took a break myself, so i feel that destiel image. (although, why must you hit where it hurts???), i think i stopped blogging back in 2017 or 18. lost my domain, so had to start all over again, but it’s refreshing. before, blogging felt like a chore in the end, but now i’ve got that spark again. hopefully you got it too! i look forward to seeing your posts.

Ahhh thanks! I worried it’d be too blurry since I think the image uploading changed a bit.
