Oh No- I Have To Read The Biggest Book On My TBR- Magical Readathon

Magical Readathon  is a Hogwarts themed readathon in which you make decisions about your actions at Hogwarts and they give you a reading prompt. As of now, there are three weeks open! I will be holding off on these until after I move in January to finish up my unread books from my current library, so consider this my January TBR.

Let the de-gnoming begin!

Pick a read from your existing TBR that is longer than 500 pages!

Thinning the not-read pile one book at a time!

I’ve already read the longest on my Goodreads, which is the Complete Sherlock Holmes. LOTR is still, after years of attempts, i’m still only 44.2% done, or done with The Hobbit and The Fellowship. It’s in storage, so I might be able to get it out late this month or early next month. The largest book that I haven’t touched at all is The Count Of Monte Cristo at 1276 pages.

What the everloving-

From mundane to magical:

read an urban fantasy (usually a fantasy world that exist in secret

from the muggle world)

Harry Potter, for example!

Ok, for this I started at the opposite end for something short and found A Faire Encounter at- it doesn’t say, but most of the reviews complain of it’s shortness. It’s an f/f ebook set in a Renascence faire where the protagonist sees a cute dragon girl and attempts to impress her with magic.

Read a book that was published in 2001!

For this, I didn’t have one listed on Goodreads- I’m sadly lacking in books published before 2015. So I googled ‘queer books published in 2001’ and You’re Not From Around Here, about a pregnant lesbian in a conservative town and At Swim, Two Boys, set in Ireland’s revolt from Britain in 1916 in which a boy makes a pact to teach another how to swim. Empress Of The World, in which teens live as college students for eight weeks, has a bisexual MC and a love interest named Battle Hall.

They all seem interesting, so we’ll see which one my library has.
